Meet the Team

MEET KAREN:

A full-on advocate of living life to the fullest- although these days that translates into “feed-change-clothe Mini-Me whilst feed-bathe-clothing Myself”!

I enjoy the little and big pleasures in life and feels absolutely no guilt about any of it. I believe that finding a balance is the key to living well.  Enjoying the freshest, least transformed food you can, taking care of oneself (both mentally and physically) and living in the moment are how I aim to achieve that balance.  Most days, it is easier said than done. Although, I have always believed in living well, it has taken on a whole new dimension over the last year.

Making decisions that directly affect the well-being of another and that will ultimately shape Mini-Me’s perception on life, health and self-esteem have prompted me to take a good hard look at the realities of the community that we live in.

This is where I plan on sharing the trials and tribulations of living that balance.

Meet Maya:

As a working mom in today's fast-paced society, most of my days revolve around the juggling of a tight schedule - a balancing act between looking after two small children, investing time to a demanding career and running a household. This blog is a creative outlet, a space where I can focus on living a life with intention and purpose.

My healthy-living philosophy is to eat a clean, wholesome, mostly organic diet; minimize hazardous chemical exposure as much as possible and include physical activity daily. Although these are not new ideas by any stretch of the imagination, incorporating them to a busy life of a modern-day parent does become challenging.

I take great joy in both tasty, delicious food and stylish, contemporary living. Fundamentally, I don't see why we need to choose between style and health, we should be able to enjoy a diverse, healthy lifestyle that does not feel restrictive or deprived of modern-day conveniences.

This is a space to share ideas and information that will inspire healthier life choices in others and myself.
